I made a new solara for the new guitar commission. I have other solaras, but I needed one with greater doming than what I already had.

I've receive the new spruce for the staves of the viola da gamba top. I am building this viol with bent and assembled staves rather than a carved top done violin style. Bent staves is proper to the tradition and method of building for this viol.
